Chemical composition: carbon C :1.45~1.70, silicon Si: no more than 0.40, Mn: no more than 0.40, sulfur S: less than or equal to 0.030, phosphorus P: less than or less than 0.030, Cr:11.00~12.50, nickel Ni: allowed residual content of less than 0.25, copper Cu: allowed residual content less than 0.30, V :0.15~0.30, molybdenum Mo:0.40~0.60.

After heat treatment, Cr12MoV can reach HRC60, which has a good impact load capacity, and is generally used for parts or samples that are directly in contact with the workpiece.

The quenching of Cr12MoV is generally adopted by vacuum quenching, and the deformation of vacuum quenching is small.

At the same time, the surface roughness is generally in Ra1.6 and above.

No surface treatment is required.

Cr12MoV itself has a high content of C and Cr, with strong anti-rust ability, but there are other metals in it, which will be slightly corroded after long-term use.

Cr12MoV has been tested for chrome plating, but due to long contact friction with the workpiece, the chromium layer wears away the skin and affects the appearance.

Later, it was found that the quenching C60 and the increase of surface roughness can meet the requirements of use, so the surface treatment is not carried out in the subsequent use.

Cr12 quenching can also reach 58-62 degrees, but Cr12mov has better anti-impact load capability, and the parts require a high budget and space, which can replace Cr12 with Cr12mov.
